Every Number Represents a New Beginning. Since October 2025, we’ve welcomed 46 individuals into safe housing—each one taking an important step toward stability, recovery, and hope.
About Us
At Comfort Care by AVI, we know that a safe place to live is more than just four walls—it’s the foundation for healing, growth, and new opportunities. Too many people in our communities face struggles such as mental health challenges, homelessness, domestic violence, discrimination, or the difficulties of adjusting to life as a newcomer to Canada. We believe no one should have to face these challenges without the stability of a safe and supportive home.That’s why Comfort Care by AVI was created—to provide housing that goes beyond shelter. We offer an environment of respect, dignity, and compassion, where every individual and family is treated with care. Our homes are designed to meet different needs: from room-to-room accommodations for those seeking personal safety and support, to whole-home rentals for families who need privacy and stability as they rebuild their lives.What makes us different is our person-centered approach. We understand that everyone’s journey is unique, and our housing program is flexible enough to support individuals wherever they are in life. For some, this may mean a stepping stone on the way to independence; for others, it’s the beginning of a new chapter filled with hope.

Avishek is the passionate founder of Comfort Care by Avi, a community-focused care organization committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality support services to individuals across a wide range of housing support. With over nine years of experience in the healthcare sector, Avishek brings a deep understanding of patient care, rooted in both professional expertise and a strong personal mission to make a meaningful difference. Avishek has dedicated his career to working with diverse populations. His experience spans long-term care for individuals with dementia and Alzheimer’s, general medical and diagnostic care, bariatric support, addiction and recovery services, and specialized care for individuals with complex mental health conditions.Throughout his journey, Avishek has worked with several well-respected organizations across Edmonton, including Revera, AgeCare, CapitalCare, The Salvation Army, Alberta Health Services, and Recovery Alberta. These experiences have not only shaped his clinical expertise but also deepened his understanding of the gaps in community-based mental health services.Driven by a long-standing vision to create a care model that goes beyond traditional approaches, Avishek founded Comfort Care by Avi to provide tailored, person-centered services that address both physical and mental health needs. His passion for mental health advocacy and community contribution remains at the heart of everything he does.With Comfort Care by Avi, Avishek is building more than a housing service—he is cultivating a safe, supportive space where individuals feel heard, valued, and empowered on their path to wellness.
